Event Description

This course is for design professionals who want to efficiently get introduced to the concepts and features of Grasshopper at an accelerated pace in an instructor-led "on line" environment.

Orientation with GoToTraining: Thursday, December 1, 2011 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM PST (Optional)

This training meets 4 times. You are expected to attend all 4 sessions.

  1. Monday, December 5, 2011 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM PST
  2. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM PST
  3. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM PST

The class will be conducted in English using the GoToTraining software.

You will need Rhino 4.0 for Windows installed. The Rhino 4.0 Evaluatin is ok, however you will be limited to 25 saves. It will run indefinitely, but only save 25 times.

(Note: The Rhino OSX WIP is not acceptable software for this class.)

If class fills, additional sessions could be added to accommodate the demand.
You will need a stable and fast Internet connection.

You will need a printed copy of the Intro to Grasshopper.pdf. You will need to download the corresponding models. You may download both from the "Materials for Attendees" page after you have registered for this course.

You will need a computer mic and speakers or a headset/mic combo. Typically these are USB but some are wired for the audio jack The MS Live Chat LX 300 mic/headset combo works well. Plantronics has some good models too.

The instructor may ask to share your Rhino screen with the class for a demonstration.
Optional Question/Answer Time 12:30pm to 1pm.
All sessions will be recorded and posted to Vimeo for your review for 3 months after the training.
