Drop objects to surface

Hi,

I am trying to move many objects (in my case horizontal polygons) down to the deformed surface, but in a way that every object just touches it with one end; keeping all faces horizontal and without intersection with the bottom surface, or deformation (as in extrude to object command...)

Sketchup already has a script like this (see picture)
Is there anything like this in Rhinoceros 4 or Rhinoscript?

Align objects to surface would be my best guess. I've been trying to figure out another way for a while now too...

Hello- you can try the MoveProject script here:

http://wiki.mcneel.com/people/pascalgolay

In order to hit with the point exactly, you'll need MoveProject, which works one object at a time (you get to pick the point that hits the target object) ; to do them all at once, use MoveProjectEach but the result wll be that the bounding box of each object is used not a specific point.

Hi Chad- No, RhinoScript (vbscript) does not work on the mac. At some point I'll make Python versions that will, but I probably will not get to that much until after we ship V5.
