alright. I use auxpecker as a presentation tool for materials/finish options in rhino.
It's absolutely realtime (no buffer scans, like in bunkspeed).
The only drawback is that you have to fake the shadows....

Does anyone else know of other tools like this?
Perhaps one with caustics-faking abilities?

At first thanks for contribution!

I think especially faking of shadows is history, even selfshadow!
A bigger challenge is something like selfreflection what leeds to ray-traycing
and several more features which are available via batch rendering only, currently!

There other very good Renderer they could do the same, but not in directly in Rhino yet.

But the point is, how much time you invest to fake something!?!

I'm not sure if you're videos show live action.
I'm attaching a vid of a live flyby using auxpecker.
You can see me manipulating the display properties as I move the camera.

Hi Dan.

I would like to show you a video created by the T-Spline team (Thanks to Matt and team).
It will show how close modeling and visualization can be.
Reflection, (Self-) shadows, etc...during you are modeling.
From my point of view...... that's the future..
