RhinoJungle

The jungle where all Rhino animals live

I am hoping someone can offer some in site.  I need to render vessels in different camouflage pasterns.  I am not needing true photo real rendering but it would be nice if they looked pretty good. I have looked at Brazil, flamingo, maxwell, and vray.  I have't down loaded any trials yet because I have limited time to try things out.  I was hoping someone might have gone down this road before and could offer advice.

Thank you in advance.

Hi!
Try to decide in according to galleries on the web. The best rendering engines are definitely Maxwell and Vray. I tried both of them, but to use Maxwell you need to have render farm due to long rendering times. Vray is faster and pretty good with even default settings. And what's more - if you install Vray into Rhino, a few STUDIO SCENES will be installed with it - so you can have really good studio-quality visualization in a few clicks.
And what's more - If you want something more from the scene, you can download some settings from http://www.flyingarchitecture.com/visopt-settings/ and try it in different positions and environments.

Good luck with that Vray.

And there is one more renderer - VSR realtime, but I have no idea how does the trial works - Maybe for 30 days, but check it out by yourself...

don't forget about nXt Flamingo its free currently
hey matt simple trick find a jpg of the pattern you would like to use and then simply apply it as a texture in the properties box for your part, or group parts and then apply the texture. with a little playing around you should be able to get something that looks good
enjoy
Gary, thanks, I had done that but was hoping for a bit better. I really need to down load a few and give them a try.
