The jungle where all Rhino animals live

I have never used 3d studio max, and I am beginner in Rhino.

I would like to know which are the advantages and disadvantages in the Rhino vs 3ds max comparison.

Thank you for the reply.

I need to agree on this. Vray plugin for Max is far most advanced plugin that the one for Rhino. As far as I am aware, there is not Vray 2.0 plugin for Rhino, but there is for 3ds Max (the last version of Vray for Rhino was 1.5).

@Francesc Salla:

Nice plugin, I like it. Just one question:

Take a look at this gallery image:

It has been made only with Rhino and VisualARQ? No Photoshop? How did you make the black slabs and walls? And the gray supporting surface?

Hi Stanko,

The black areas on sectioned objects have been done in Artweaver and also the gray area on the base and some background filled  behind the trees. But that's it!

thank you for the reply Francesc. I am definitively going to get interested in this plugin of yours in next period.

In the mean time, here is an example of what I am currently doing - creating the 3d regular (straight without curved) shapes into Archicad, then exporting it into the .3ds, importing into Rhino, and creating additional curved and free formed shapes. Like this curtain wall around garage:

So garage is created in Archicad, and curtain wall in Rhino:

Hi Stanko,

Interesting project!

Do you move back to ArchiCAD for getting the 2D drawings?

Maybe VisualARQ gives you a hand on that.

cheers,

exactly that is the main problem - I do elevations and roof plans, directly from Rhino, as renderings. But for sections, I need to export the Rhino file as .3ds and then import it back into Archicad, and make a section by slicing the 3d model. That is a bit too much in comparison to VisualARQ. This is why I will give it a try.
