The jungle where all Rhino animals live
Does anyone know how to get simple attractive graphic visuals from rhino files like the kind you see from Sketchup. I want to do some architectural visuals but dont want the nasty native rhino render look or the glossy high-end Maxwell look.

I think trying to emulate Sketchup is a bad idea for visuals.
Here are some ideas:
You can define and add materials to your Rhino model. If you stick to colors vs attempting photorealism it can have a nice effect. Dark gray ground. Middle gray structure. Light gray enclosure. Color highlight. Or some other analgous color scheme.
You can ignore materials and render for print then manually trace profile edges, concave edges, and convex edges with different line weights. Then combine in PS.
In the early stages of schematic design using semi-transparent volumes with color can make nice diagrams.
Use the find edges filter in photoshop and then multiply it over the Rhino rendering to get edges similar to SketchUp.

Could be black or grey to contrast a matte white or light grey base material for you graphic viz. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqs2A5KlXN8
