The jungle where all Rhino animals live
Hi All
I received a file, but i am kinda puzzled here.
If i make a surface a loft from some curves, it somehow lookes different than the surface from the file i received here.
Is it made in Rhino5 as polysurface with thickness as preset or something, just guessing???
In the post files with 2 surfaces 1 from me and one other wich is somewhat puzzling to me.
Any help is greately appreciated!
Regards John

The green surface is a rectangular surface which was trimmed to shape.

How can i see that?
Is there a significant differance in behaviour?
Regards John
Be aware, neither surface has a thickness. As they are presented, if you offset the surfaces, the green one will offset down and the grey one will offset up. The green surface is upside down. On the green surface, the normals are pointing downward. On the gray surface, the normals are facing upward. Use Analyze (menu bar) > Direction > Flip (option in the command line) > choose the green one > Enter when done. Now when you offset, the surfaces will go the same direction, Up.
You have also turned off the Show surface Isocurve (check box) near the bottem of the properties window for the green surface. Those are my guesses, at this point. (your file had no curves to see how you loft?)

End of the week i will get a 2 days training, and i will get my answers.
I thougt the green surface had thickness because when i projected the hatch on the green surface it seemd to hover above the surface. I will have a go tonight again with all the options you mentioned.
Txs
