RhinoJungle

The jungle where all Rhino animals live

I've been asked to run a series of tutorials on beginner's Rhino for some fellow grad students, and I'm looking for advice or resources for doing these. I've got the first one about ready for tomorrow, covering the basic interface and modeling, but I'm wondering about where to take it in later sessions - they want about 3-5 sessions of 1-2 hours each. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks,

try some torrent search - there are rhino3 level 1&2 - models and tutorial explanations in pdf-format.
I use to download a lot of video tutorials too - in english!
good luck!
I recently ran a series on Rhino for some architecture undergrads with very little experience of 3D modelling. The course we structured in three parts, and was split into a lecture series and a series of practical workshops.

In the lectures we discussed the implications of moving from orthogonal and perspectival notions of drawing to 3D approaches. We talked about the wider implications of working with virtuality and integrating programming into realised architecture. This was more of a way of gaging th

For the practical, we used a number of the training modules that can be installed with Rhino (http://download.rhino3d.com/download.asp?id=Rhino4Training), as we felt they brought together a range of skills that build on previous knowledge of CAD into the NURBS approach. We also tentatively took them towards some of the plug-ins for rendering and modelling i.e. T-Splines and the parametric tool Grasshopper.

There are a number on the Rhino site to look at too:

Thanks for the good links guys. I made it through the first session with just basic interface and drawing stuff, and the rest I'm going to tailor towards what they will need for their particular studio projects. Fun!
I just finished putting together a syllabus for a class I will be teaching so I know what your going through. Here are some handy links:

Do you guys know how to deal with the Mac users running Parallels? I keep saying hit control-this or control-that and I'm not sure how they would do those key combinations. Also is there a way to make their delete key work? Also, is Bootcamp or some other software better for them to use Rhino on?

Many thanks.
