The jungle where all Rhino animals live

Can anyone point me to a good tutorial of Rhino when used as a design tool in Architecture, it seems to me that it has tremendous posabilities, I currently use Vectorworks and 3D is not that easy.

Steve,
I don't have a good link, never used tutorials. All you need to learn rhino is the help file and a goal. Just give yourself a test , like : I want to model a specific chair or anything. First you need to get familiar with the basic commands and learn how objects are separated as primitives - curves/surfaces/solids. Then get familiar with how you can make surfaces from curves, solids from surfaces, nothing more. Bear in mind the rhino help file is extremely well put together. So start modeling something - once you have some 2d curves drawn check the curves menu and see how you can make solids/surfaces out of them. 2D drawing is straight forward, if you want to draw a line just type "line" etc...Learning on your own will probably take a bit longer, but I think it is going to be better that way. Another extremely important thing, get used to the commands and use as less icons as possible, much faster that way. Hope this helps,
Florin
I haven't got a tutorial for architecture specifically, but I did see that Rhino was one of the most popular tools used by architects in an AIA survey, so you're going into territory that others have been through.
Howdy-

Go to http://tips.rhino3d.com/ for some great tutorials. You can also type in Rhino 3d in Youtube and lots of good stuff comes up
If I was going to be working specifically within Architecture, I would be using Chief Architect. Very easy to learn and all appropriate tools for the architect work flow. I love Rhino very much, as a MCAD Designer I use it for complex geometry and some free form design work. As it works hand-in-hand with Solidworks.
I don't mean to draw you away from Rhino, I just think that if you do Mechanical Design, you would want a Mechanical Design solution and the same for Architecture.

Best Regards,
Patrick

Great architectural plugin for Rhino

What nature of Architecture specifically?

To plug my own blog (if you don't mind), http://geometrygym.blogspot.com takes a look at how the architecture or form was created for structures such as the British Great Court Roof, the Beijing Water Cube and the 2012 Stadium amongst others. Generally there are youTube demonstrations, and you can download the input files and try them for yourselves. Any comments/suggestions/requests are gratefully received.
hi steve check out my blog is https://tobihaptik.wordpress.com/ greez
Hi Steve,

Although modelling architecture in 3D will of course depend on the type of geometry you need to create, the following is a tutorial for starting with the Barcelona Pavillion. Of course, if you want to model Gehry's type of architecture and organic shapes, you are supposed to start a journey in order to get the most from Rhino Nurbs capability. As other people wrote, technically, learning how to model smaller objects (industrial design objects, cars, boats) will not be different from modelling a building, apart from the scale.
