Thank You Jonas for keeping us updated!

Franco
you got it, it is important as the more we use it the better our feedback and the product will be
i myself could not go backwards but this happens every time we are in WIP
New in Rhino 5.0:

* Rhino 5.0 is faster and more stable than Rhino 4.0.
* Runs native on 32- and 64-bit Windows platforms.
* Display is much faster than 4.0.
* Installs beside Rhino 4.0 - you can continue to use Rhino 4.0.

Warning:

* Rhino 4.0 SR5 or newer must be installed for Rhino 5.0 to work.
* WIP releases may crash, lock up, or corrupt files.
Does nyon know ifthey've left a wasto revert the move/copy command in 5.0?

In 4.0, you only needed to hold alt in your view while dragging a part to copy it.
in5.0, you must select and begin the drag, ten *tap* alt to duplicate.

I know it sounds picky,
but when yu're accutomed to keystrokes over 2 versions of a prgram,
chages can be annoying...
thanks for keeping us up to date!
What's New, WIP 2010-09-29 (29-Sep-2010)
New Features:

* SelPictureFrame - New command: Selects objects created with the PictureFrame command.

Enhanced Features:

* Divide: A new GroupOutput option allows grouping of resulting point objects.
* Drag and drop any supported file type that makes textures (bmp, png, jpeg, hdr, exr) does one of the following things:
o If the drag is onto an object: The material on the object is either changed to set the diffuse texture to the dragged texture, or a new material is created with that texture in the Diffuse slot.
o If the drag is into space: A dialog box appears with three options: PictureFrame, Wallpaper, Environment.
* DragMode: The new ControlPolygon options allow dragging a curve/surface control point along the control polygons that connect to it.
* Extrude: New SplitAtTangents option allows creating polysurfaces split at tangent arcs and tangent arcs to lines.
* Osnap:Vertex: Now pays attention to control polygon culling setting. Vertices that would be culled if control points were on are not snapped to.
* PictureFrame: PictureFrame materials are now shown only in the Properties dialog, not in the Material Editor.
* PictureFrame: SetObjectDisplayMode no longer affects how PictureFrame objects display. PictureFrame objects now always use Rhino's default "Rendered" display mode.
* PictureFrame: The Material Properties dialog box now displays the name of the bitmap.
* Python: New functions:
o BuildDate
o ClearCommandHistory
o CommandHistory
o InstallFolder

Bug Fixes:

* ExtractSrf: Using the Copy option incorrectly unhighlighted the already picked faces, but they remained selected. This is fixed.
* Layer Material Dialog: The dialog did not allow creating a new material or editing of the chosen material. It was also not clear which material is actually the chosen one. This is fixed.
* MaterialEditor: In Expert Mode, on any texture type, the controls on the Output Adjustment panel did not work. This is fixed.
* MaterialEditor: When a texture is in the Environment slot of a Basic Material, the texture is assumed to have emap mapping. The controls that previously appeared on the texture for mapping (Local Mapping) didn't do anything - so they have been omitted.
* PictureFrame: The Self-illumination setting has been changed to a Yes/No toggle.
* Toolbar: Several problems using the icon editor have been fixed.
* Untrim: The RemoveEdge option to replace the edges with a curve failed. This is fixed.
* Worksession: The color of objects selected in a worksession file was not correct. This is fixed.

good, but after trying to install this release, I got an error message.

I opened that webpage, but when I clicked on the Middle Europe link, Outlook tried to open itself. But I don't use outlook at all, so I can't write them a message! What am I supposed to do now?
Thanks a lot.

New Features:

* UseExtrusions - New command: Controls what type of object is created by commands like Box, Cylinder, ExtrudeCrv, Pipe, and Slab. Extrusion objects use less memory and mesh faster. They are a good option when making models containing lots of simple shapes. The default for V5 is to use extrusion objects when possible. In some cases, polysurfaces may be preferred. The UseExtrusions command determines which type of object to use. The preference is saved as a Rhino application setting (Option).

Enhanced Features:

* Gumball: Shift and Ctrl picks pass through autogumball to the objects underneath. The only exception is scale handles. Shift picking those still scales in all three dimensions.
* Open:SKP: Rhino can now save SketchUp V8 files.

Bug Fixes:

* ExtrudeCrv: When the Cap option was set to Yes, the new SplitAtTangents option was ignored. This is fixed.

Failure Bugs Fixed:

* Dim (1)
* DimOptions (1)
* DocumentProperties (1)
* ExtrudeCrv (2)
* Extrusion Object (1)
* Hatch (1)
* Help (1)
* Loft (2)
