That is really cool, I managed to achieve curve UV and flow position correctly shrinking the trimmed surface (the one that is cut away) and play around with some patterns of mine. Indeed the Smart Flow is amazing, especially the way it manually move profiles and planar curves along the lines or circles so that is always perpedicular to it....argh! wish to have that!

He builds the patterns from planar curves and then uses Matrix Art which is a heightfield from bitmap builder to raise the pattern into a mesh. The mesh is applied to the surface using "Smart Flow". Then he simply dragged the diamonds and setting onto the the "Smart Flow" surface and it automatically shows up on the surface. That's how the "Smart Flow" command works. It's like working with Flow on Surface live.

I see, I don't think that is the command the author is using but more kind of Flow along a curve after that he build the pattern etc.. I agree Matrix got some powerful commands that I have not seen in the common version of Rhino, I'm glad to see how powerful the scripting actually is, hope McNeel could implement similar system.. ; )
