RhinoJungle

The jungle where all Rhino animals live

Hi all,
New here, so hello to all. I've a question. A rep for a different software package intimated that doing design tasks like easily doing channel settings was difficult with Rhinogold.

True or not?

I have not used RhinoGold to much, still trying to learn. I do use it's plug-in a lot in Rhino. Still learning it also. Great in adding gems. You can add different sizes at one time, which is a big help. Plus the head and prong features are great. I have only played with the channel a little. It is easy to do. I hope to learn a lot more in a couple of weeks. Going to Miami for training in Rhino and RhinoGold.

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the reply, and have fun in Miami!

It's the difference between individually setting each stone in a channel (tedious) vs. picking a stone size, say 3.0 mm, and then having the program automatically setting up the channel for you that I'm asking about. I know Rhinogold has a pave' tool that will do this, but I haven't seen anything for channel.

Hi,

I think is easy to use Channel Studio! :) I create a simple short video to see how it works. I know this video is really simple, but I think it will helps to undestand how it works.

Please if you need more details or you want I create a video using other model, please let me know.

Thanks and best regards,

Rafael,

I checked out the video's and discovered one on channel setting; thanks for the tip. Looks like I just didn't make it that far during my 30-day trial. So my question is answered - channel setting is indeed easy with RhinoGold!
