Temporary CAD Designer - Sunnyvale, CA

AIXTRON, Inc. designs and manufactures capital equipment for advanced semiconductor manufacturing. These thin film deposition systems are used worldwide to produce integrated circuits.

Description:

The successful candidate will be part of the Operations team to support New Product Introductions by creating and maintaining the product record and resolving issues found during the early pilot manufacturing phase. He/she will support the product documentation effort through documenting assembly drawings and procedures and building the record in SAP.

Position Description:

• Support engineers in resolving technical issues and documenting the solutions
• Support engineers in developing procedures and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiencies
• Review Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and implement solutions, e.g. BOM Corrections, drawing corrections, procedure corrections
• Release solutions developed using the Engineering Change orders
• Support SAP database "clean up": duplicate material #'s for identical parts are often assigned by different divisions (legacy data, but still in use). Drawing and BOM corrections are required to implement use of single mat# going forward.
• Other duties as assigned

Duties & Responsibilities:

Works with engineers and technicians to resolve issues described above. Documents Engineering Change Orders and coordinate their implementation.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• BSME (or equivalent) with 5+ years work experience
• Strong CAD design and manufacturing procedure skills
• Good understanding of product documentation and document control
• Proficient with Pro/E and thorough understanding of ANSI Y14.5 is required
• ProPDM and/or Pro/INTRALINK is highly desirable
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite, SAP, AutoCAD preferred
• Self-motivated, driven, detailed oriented and team player
• Enjoys fast paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
