- About Me:
- Mr. Jones is an Associate Professor and member of the faculty of the School of Architecture + Design at Virginia Tech. In 1995 the University of Arkansas honored Professor Jones as distinguished Professor and Minority Fellow. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan, followed by a Master of Science in Architecture degree and postgraduate study at Columbia University. Mr. Jones prior to Virginia Tech Jones, taught at Mississippi State and Yale University. He teaches Computer graphics programming - C++, Parametric Modeling and Visualization, and Design Studio. His research is in the area of virtual stereoscopic environments. Mr. Jones is a licensed architect and charter member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Mr. Jones has served as a Design Resource expert for the National Mayor's Institute on Design and as a juror for the Design Arts program of the National Endowment for the Arts. Mr. Jones in a patented inventor and has founded two successful companies, 9th Insight, Inc. and Quantum Matrix Holdings, LLC. Mr. Jones’ software has received international awards and recognition. His program the Quantum Matrix was patented in 2008.
