"Hi Max - I do this all the time. The best way i have found is to position the mesh objects in ISO view - then instead of converting to nurbs - just run the 'meshoutline' command (in the ISO view). So you will end up with outlines of the…"

Using People in an ISO with Make2D

Hello, I am doing an ISO drawing and have so far been modelling in Rhino and then using the make2D then cleaning it up in Illustrator. (It's a line drawing) I want to start adding figures and vehicles to it but if I try and import models they are mesh, when I convert them to nurbs (apart from taking ages to 'make2D) they don't come out very well. Has anyone got an idea on how I might do it better? Many thanks! Max  See More

"from Phil... after you zoom right out select all and you will see where it has landed - probably not on the artboard. Alternatively, without zooming out, select all, cut, paste and it should appear on your artboard."

"Make sure you are in the TOP view, then zoom way out in Illustrator and they should be there, also if your curves were white in Rhino you may not see them in Illustrator."

Exporting to Illustrator

Hello, I am trying to export curves to Illustrator but when I open the .ai in illustrator it is blank. It has the layers and object layers but nothing on the artboard. I am selecting the curves I want to export and I am using export selected. I am keeping the model 1mm to 1mm as it was designed with the correct dimensions. I have also make sure the cplane is by one of the objects. I have tried drawing a rectangle around it and selecting that also. Not sure what else to try. Thanks for help in…See More

Importing other 3D models into my model.

Hello All, I am very new to Rhino and 3D modelling in general, but I have to do some visualisation work for Uni.  I have been using some models from flyingarchitecture.com for furnishings. I understand that the models are saved to keep the file size down and so when I bring them into my model it has to rebuild the meshes.  There are a couple of occasions where if I open the model on it's own and create meshes it is fine, but in my building windows runs out of ram. Annoyingly I have a mac pro…See More
