As a Senior Design Engineer – Additive Manufacturing, you will bring hands-on technical expertise in prototyping and/or manufacturing using Selective Laser Sintering equipment to cross-functional teams developing new products, tools, materials and processes. You will be responsible for product engineering, product manufacturability, and costing. You will review product requirements with design, marketing, and engineers and recommend optimal material specifications. In this role, you will oversee development timelines, assist in planning technology roadmaps, and communicate and resolve related issues to minimize impact. You will develop materials test procedures and continually seek areas for process improvement.

• MS or equal experience in chemical, mechanical, or plastics engineering. Minimum of 7-10 years experience in consumer product development. Footwear experience is a plus.

• Expertise in rapid prototyping or manufacturing using SLS and competitive equipment and a demonstrated ability to develop new prototype/manufacturing solutions.

• Fluent in 2D and 3D CAD software. Experience using Rhino, Solidworks, Magics and Grasshopper preferred.

• Knowledge of materials testing and evaluation.

• Experience with experimental design.

• Must be a creative problem-solver.

• Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.

• Strong communication skills required.

• Should be a member of rapid prototyping industry associations and have a close professional network.
